Early-years Program:
Kindergarten 1-Team teaching ages 3-4 with Thai staff — must be creative, outgoing, love children, possess good time management, be team oriented and adaptable.
The Early Years (Anuban) program consist of grades k1-k3 with 2 classes at each level. The students are limited to 25 a class and are team taught by both a permanent Thai teachers and Native speakers. There are also assistants, and specialist teachers. This Program requires unique individuals with: love of children, out going, willing to sing and dance, early years experience, working as a team (with Thai and Native Speakers), creative and dedicated. Generally the Thai school board will accept only women for these positions. However if you think you have what it takes, feel free to apply.
Primary English Program:
Head of Primary Foreign Staff – Full
The ideal candidate for the primary program will have knowledge of or a willingness to learn integration (1-3) and/or units of inquiry (1-6), be team-oriented and want to take an active role in curriculum design and assessment.
The current primary teaching load is 18 contact periods a week.
Secondary English Program:
Grade 10-12 Literature teacher, along with some health classes. Teaching English 6 periods, Literature 9 periods, Health g7-8 4 periods
The Secondary Program is now 6 years old and operates differently from the Primary program as our students are somewhat integrated with the regular program. Many subjects are taught both in Thai and English.
Secondary Program students come from a wide educational background. This presents challenges, opportunities, creative options and active teaching styles for educators with the ability to get involved.
The ideal candidate for the secondary program should be dedicated to helping students of all levels to improve, be adaptable, dedicated to helping improve the existing program, and be pro-active in curriculum changes. They should also have experience or possess TEFL training as well as a suitable background for the subjects they will teach.
General Information:
Srithammarat Suksa school is an 109 year old private Christian school in Nakon Si Thammarat, Thailand, we are looking for responsible, motivated teachers to join our English Program Staff. Srithammaratsuksa is a well-established school with over 5000 students K-12. The English Program is now in its 10th year, and continuing to grow and improve in size, quality and reputation. We currently have a foreign staff of more than 25 from the US, Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Srithammaratsuksa has all classes under 30 students(many around 15), a friendly and supportive environment, beautiful tree-lined campus adjacent to a large city park.
Our city, Nakon Si Thammarat, is an ancient trading capital with most modern western conveniences: internet, satellite TV, pizza. Renting a house can be done for about 15% of monthly salary, leaving plenty to experience local culture in our medium-sized, non-touristic Thai city. Beaches, mountains and waterfalls are within a short drive, and the famous tourist meccas of Samui, Ko Pa Ngan, Krabi and Phuket are a short drive away.

1. Duties and responsibilities shall include but not be limited to the following:
- attend staff meetings
- help with the design and revision of curriculum, policies, etc.
- responsible for the learning and supervision of your students
- keep a file of all worksheets given to students
- write daily lesson plans for each subject
- teach all scheduled classes
- have lesson plans available for the assistant, should you be absent
- make worksheets, quizzes, tests, etc., to supplement ready-made materials
- make and prepare materials for lessons
- see that all work (books and /or sheets) are checked and corrected regularly
- keep records of students’ scores, class-work, homework, etc.
- record assessment of academic performance and behaviour each month
- photo-copy worksheets, tests, etc
- follow up students who have not completed work
- support co-workers and maintain a positive and professional working environment.
- Preform any reasonable request made by any member of management
2. You must be at school by 7.30 a.m. each morning and “sign-in” at the office.
3. Stand outside with your assigned class for the morning announcements and anthems.
4. It is your responsibility to be in the classroom by the start of each lesson.
5. If you will be late or absent, you should notify the school at the earliest appropriate time.
6. Should you be absent for one day or longer, you must fill out a leave request form.
7. If your absence is of a duration longer than 3 days and results from a medical condition, you are required to submit a doctor’s certificate to the director.
8. You will be required to attend staff meetings on weekdays and you are expected to attend occasional events scheduled on evenings or weekends.
9. You are required to dress appropriately as defined by the dress code. The dress code will be presented in writing to all teachers.
10. Please address teaching staff as “Teacher ……….”.
11. Professional conduct should be exemplified at all times. This means inappropriate speech and or actions (swearing, drinking alcohol, smoking, etc.) will not be tolerated while on school grounds.
12. There is a 50 minute lunch break between 11.40 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. each day.
13. The school day ends at 4.10 p.m.
14. A “full schedule” consists of up to 22 teaching periods per week. Any NST who is scheduled more than 22 teaching periods per week on an ongoing basis will receive overtime compensation.
15. Teachers may not hold outside employment with any other school. Any paid employment outside of school must be approved by school administration prior to said employment.

Section 2
Benefits
1. Salary: The salary for a teacher starts at __30,000 Baht per month. Any teacher who has higher qualifications, extensive teaching experience or a special title or responsibility will be paid extra. The salary will be will be paid two days before the end of each month.
2. Extra Teaching: Along with normal teaching hours there are special after-school classes and Saturday
morning classes. These classes are optional for teachers and assistants. Teachers will be offered the
opportunity to teach these extra classes after the successful completion of the three month probation
period
2.1 Teaching Day-Camp during April is also optional for returning teachers. The number of classes taught and the pay earned varies from year to year and is given in addition to the regular salary. This applies only to teachers who have signed a contract to teach the following year. For teachers just beginning or ending their contracts there is no additional pay and camp teaching is mandatory.
3. Special Bonus: Teachers who have children can enroll them in the school’s regular Thai programme
without cost if so desired. Those desiring to enroll their children in the English Programme will pay 90%
of the normal fees.
4. Lunch: A free lunch is provided daily by the school.
5. Accident and Health Insurance: This has been set at ___20,000______ Baht per year.
6. Airfare: The school will refund the incoming airfares of teachers who sign a contract for one or more
years. The ticket should be economy class and with a reasonably priced airline. Cost is reimbursed after 90 days of work. For teachers hired while already in Thailand, 2000 baht per month will be added to salary in lieu of airfare reimbursement.
7. Performance Bonus: The school will pay an end of contract bonus of up to 24,000 Baht upon the satisfactory completion of each year’s contract. Amount of bonus will be determined by the teacher’s performance in accordance with the job description in this contract. The Discipline Policy will be explained clearly in writing to all teachers.
8. School Holidays: Besides the officially recognised holidays, there are four weeks vacation time in
April and about three weeks in October except where there are meetings and workshops scheduled.
Teachers will be informed prior to the workshop seminars. From time to time the school may
schedule seminars and/or meetings during the holiday period. However the school will attempt to provide
sufficient or adequate notice about such events.
9. Attendance: Days missed from work (sickness, business, personal…) will be limited to 5 days/term or 10 days/school year. Any absence longer than this will result in a pay deduction of 1,000 THB per day (based on 30,000 / 30 days a month), at the schools discretion. Any absence longer than 3 days in a row will require a doctor’s excuse or prior approval and may result in pay deduction, at the schools discretion. Please inform the school in advance so that they we may help accommodate all needs.
9.1 Attendance Bonus: An attendance bonus of 2,000THB will be given to any NST which has completed a full term without any missed days, including meetings, weekends and special events and has kept a positive performance standard . This will be given as an award at the end of term.
